Issues with your game controller
Do you know if your controller is DirectInput compatible? That’s what JD’s controller support is based upon. Both games automatically detect whether you have one attached, so you don’t need to visit the launcher to set it. Please ensure the controller is plugged in before launching the game.
We also recommend that you take a look at this discussion if you continue to experience issues.
Where can I find the Joe Danger Bundle’s bonus content?
Right click on Joe Danger in Steam, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and hit Browse Local Files. This will open an Explorer window; the content is in the Bonus folder here. (You can also just navigate to here in Explorer if you wish!)
The launcher crashes
You can bypass the game launcher with the command line ‘silent’. To activate this, right click on the game in your library in Steam, select Properties, then click Set Launch Options on the General tab. Type ‘silent’ in here.
To change your settings after bypassing the launcher, you can still run the launcher, but make sure you quit it rather than start the game. Right click on Joe Danger in Steam, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and hit Browse Local Files. Open the Bin folder and run JD1Launcher.exe / JD2Launcher.exe.
The game crashes at the end of a tour/press any button to start screen
This is caused by a corrupt codec install. Please reinstall the latest DivX codec from www.divx.com.
The play screen is enlarged as if zoomed in, so you can only see the top corner of the picture
This is caused by setting Windows to display text and other elements larger than 100%. To correct you can either:
Find the game’s .exe by right clicking on Joe Danger in Steam, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab, hit Browse Local Files. Open the Bin folder.
Right click on JoeDanger.exe and choose -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check the option, Disable Scaling on High DPI Settings.
Or, open Control Panel -> Display -> “Make text and other items larger or smaller”, and set to 100%. This will set your entire system to lower DPI, however, rather than just Joe Danger.
Occasional game slowdown
We’re aware that a few players are experiencing slowdown at intermittent times. Please send us details of where and when you’re seeing this and your computer’s specifications to firstname.lastname@example.org.
