Hello Games community. Everything here is joyous and witty.

*Sticky* Edge Column

Postby Sean » Thu Jun 24, 2010 10:14 pm

Hello Games writes a column for Edge, which is a magazine in the UK which tells you if videogames are art yet. It also has really nice covers sometimes, and a bit in the back about Crytek.

You can read our columns here:

Then come immediately back here to discuss them. Quick! Before you get covered in Edge germs.

We’re also running out of ideas to write about, so if you have suggestions, please tell us.

Thanks,
Sean

I think Sean should write the first few sentences for everything Hello Games puts its name on.

"Let's put it in perspective though - this Scooby Doo game is pretty S-H-I-T. And if he doesn't hear it from me, he's going to pick it up in the playground."
"I had a cat with three legs when I was growing up."
"I reach for the headache tablets and accidentally take a handful of sleeping pills."

But seriously, these are all really interesting! You need to release a DLC skin for Joe, that turns him into a monkey riding a banana motorcycle.

lol seriously what on earth is the problem with some Publishers eh!? OK, I can understand them saying no to new studios, but those 4 reasons are the worst I've ever heard! lol I've had one publisher say to me "We're currently only looking at our internal projects, rather than unsolicited projects" - this was from an address along the lines of "aquisitions@iamagamespublishingcompany" while another say "We don't deal with indie studios" - yeah, fat lot of help that was!
